Outlook Calendar Sharing Message: “You Do Not Have Sufficient Permissions”
Have you received this error when opening a colleague’s calendar? the problem is – you DO have permission to view it. If you do have the right permissions. Follow these steps.
- Remove the calendar from your list by right clicking on it and choosing Delete Calendar…
- Have the other user remove your permissions completely.
Remove Permissions
- Open your calendar.
- On the Home tab, click Calendar Permissions
- In the dialog box, select the user to remove.
- Click the Remove button.
Add Permissions
- Open your calendar.
- On the Home tab – click Calendar Permissions
- In the dialog box, click Add…
- In the dialog box, type in the users name and click Add and then OK.
- In the dialog box -with the user selected – select the permission level and click OK. For example, reviewer.
Add the Calendar
Now that the permissions have been removed and re added, add the calendar back.
- In Outlook, click File…Open…Other User’s Folder.
- Type in the user’s name and select calendar. Click OK.
That should solve the problem!
